MEMPHIS, Tennessee (WMC) – Memphis police are searching for a man they say Monday night threatened with a gun after Walmart loss prevention officials approached him for not paying for items in his cart. I’m here.
At 9:44 p.m., police arrived at a Walmart on Raleigh Lagrange Road where they met with a loss prevention officer.
She told police the suspect and his mother approached the pair as they were leaving because they hadn’t checked all the items at the self-checkout.
She said she checked her receipt and found that some of the items in her cart hadn’t been paid for.
She told police the suspect was furious afterward and said he was going to get the gun.
A loss prevention officer told police the suspect’s mother was able to evict her son.
Police said the suspect was in his mid-20s and was driving an orange Mustang.
No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation continues.
