The online retail giant said it had started talks to close three distribution centers in Hemel Hempstead, Doncaster and Glock in western Scotland this year.
An Amazon spokesperson said in an emailed statement that employees at the three sites will be offered positions at other Amazon locations.
The company also plans to open two new fulfillment centers, which it said will “create 2,500 new jobs over the next three years.”
