UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Amazon third-party delivery driver Christopher Williams is accused of stealing more than 50 packages destined for customers, the Union County Sheriff’s Office said.
The victim told investigators that the package contained items such as holiday decorations, clothing, and electronic devices.
Silvio Valdez said he and his wife were never notified that the package had been delivered in December.
However, Amazon marked it as delivered.
“They said they delivered it, but they didn’t send me a picture,” Valdez said. “They didn’t send anything. They said it was delivered.”
Dozens of neighbors told the police the same thing.
Lawmakers arrested Williams on December 20.
Valdes said he may be lackluster, but the Grinch won’t rob him of his optimism.
