Amazon buyers had issues with their orders Saturday afternoon, and sellers noticed orders had stalled for several hours.
It’s not clear if the order was processed and simply delayed, or if the order wasn’t actually processed during the period.
DownDetector’s graph showed a spike in problem reports between 5:00 and 9:00 PM ET. At 5:34 PM, a customer writes, “Let’s place an order. I’m not sure if the order is complete because it doesn’t show the order or send a confirmation email.”
At 9:03 PM, the first of the two sellers reports that sales finally appear on the report.
“We’re slowly catching up. Orders from 2pm PST have been added to the list (6:03 PST).”
A second seller writes:
“Started updating sales from 4 hours ago. P.”
Sellers crossed their fingers in hopes of similar results.
At 9:19 p.m., a buyer wrote to Down Detector:
This could indicate that the seller has to deal with potential duplicate orders from that period.
