Is your family ready for cheap entertainment?
The grand reopening of AMC Movie theaters is right around the corner and boy, is it GRAND! On August 20th, they will be opening more than 100 theaters nationwide and to kick off this event they will be offering 2020 movies at 1920’s prices!
Wondering what a movie cost in 1920? Hard to believe it, but AMC will be charging ONLY 15¢ for tickets – how awesome is that?!
Additional AMC theaters will be reopening in the week’s following with the intention of having about 400 of their 600 theaters operating by the first week of September. You can go here to check when the theaters in your area are expected to open. Plus head here to check out the AMC Safe & Clean procedures to see how you can stay healthy during your visit.
The savings don’t stop there…
Even better, AMC plans to pass more savings along to their customers with $5 tickets available for older movies like “Back to the Future” and “The Empire Strikes Back” as movie production has been at a standstill during the Covid19 Pandemic. Through the end of October, popcorn will be priced at just $5 too!
Plus, through October 31st, AMC Theatres are offering their AMC Stubs Premiere annual membership program for just $5 for new and existing members (regularly $15) making it a great time to join or renew!
AMC Stubs members enjoy great benefits like savings on movie tickets, free upgrades on popcorn and drinks, free online ticket reservations, and more.
Stubs members also earn points for every dollar spent at the concession stand towards earning rewards that can be used on movie tickets or snacks and beverages and through October 31st all members will earn DOUBLE points on their purchases!
I’ve personally been a Stubs Premiere member for years and it’s always paid for itself within a couple of visits. The upgrades are worth it and I love that they offer a VIP line to use to purchase tickets or snacks which saves a lot of time and patience!
Alternatively, you can snag an AMC Stubs A-List 1-month membership for only $5 (regularly $19.95) which allows you to watch up to three movies a week including IMAX and Dolby. There are no blackout dates either which is awesome!
