Chicago (CBS) — Three people were shot outside a Walmart in the Pullman area Wednesday night.
Chicago Police said the victim was loading groceries from a store on the 10900 block in South Dotty into his car around 7:20 p.m. when a dark sedan drove by and its occupants opened fire.
Among the victims was a 27-year-old man who was shot in the left leg and was in good condition and taken to an unknown hospital.
A 25-year-old man was shot in the chest and back and was taken to Christ Hospital in critical condition.
A 19-year-old woman was shot in her right forearm and was taken to Roseland Hospital in good condition.
CBS 2’s Jermont Terry was on the scene.
About an hour later, the squad car was still on the scene. Two shopping carts full of groceries were seen near the car that was believed to have been damaged.
A witness who works at Walmart told CBS 2 that when he was in front of the store, he suddenly saw people rushing into the store. In the parking lot he saw two people lying on the ground.
Police did not provide further details.
This is a developing story.
