It’s Girl Scout Cookie Season. It’s the sweetest time of the year.
And those who have been craving sweet cookie treats will have to wait a little longer.
Saturday, 8am-4pm, Girl Scout Troop 9815, Troy will be setting up a cookie booth at Walmart to sell all of the Girl Scouts’ favorite cookies along with their newest cookie, the Raspberry Rally. Beginners last year, Adventurefuls.
Traditional Girl Scout “favorites” such as Do-si-dos, S’mores, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Thin Mints and Lemon-ups will all be available, said Camille Downing, an army volunteer. .
At this time, Troop 9815 is still Troy’s only Girl Scout force, but it has doubled in size. Toia McPhail and he LeKeisha Hays are the leaders of the squad.
“The 9815th Scouts are a very interesting and active group,” said Downing. “And because this time of the year is Girls His Scout’s cookie season and people are ready to fall into temptation, our girls are also a very dedicated group.
“We have booth sales to help our unit raise funds for girl-led activities. I appreciate the support the Girl Scouts receive as they support the Troop and the Girl Scout Council with the sale of cookies.”
Girl Scout troop 9815 will sell the popular cookies individually or as a troop, Downing said.
