IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) – A large warehouse that has been under construction over the past few months is nearing completion.
But it begs the question as to how it will turn out.
This building is just behind Smith’s Chevrolet near I-15.
There is a large loading dock area.
We reached out to the Amazon company to ask if this was their facility.
We referred them to a job opening on Amazon for an assistant manager in Idaho Falls.
Part of the job description reads, “You will also play a key role in maintaining customer expectations by ensuring that customer orders are delivered to the right place at the right time.”
Amazon spokeswoman Natalie Banks responded in writing:
“I have confirmed that this job posting is for a new site that Amazon plans to lease as a last mile delivery station in Idaho Falls. We will provide more information once it launches. There is no confirmation on timing, except that it is expected to open this year.”
Bonneville County Commissioner Bryon Reed said he asked the same question about what would happen to the warehouse, but did not confirm whether it would be Amazon. But once the site is launched, more details will be revealed.
