Many Lexington multifamily tenants are dealing with similar issues following winter weather and frigid temperatures. Now they just hope to arrive at some solution.
Veridian Apartments residents Grant Minix and Elizabeth Tramontine returned home on New Year’s Day after taking a vacation to see what no one wanted to see.

“After six days of running out of water, I received an email saying the water had been put back in, so I immediately emailed the office saying, ‘I am out now. Can you do it or leave us alone, we know, no answer, no phone, no email,” they said.
Both Tramontin and Minix say they don’t feel comfortable living in their apartment. So they filed a complaint with Code Enforcement.
A Lexington law enforcement inspector will visit the unit that sent these requests. Code Enforcement Director Alex Olszowy says he’s making sure the water issue is resolved first.
“Anyone who is filing a lawsuit with us, we are on top of it. Men and women will be there almost every day until the water problem is fully resolved. Then 30 days. Or give 60 days time to do general repairs.
After they assess the damage, they will decide if minor or immediate repairs are needed or if it should be blamed. However, he says he is making progress as quickly as possible with a number of complexes addressing these issues.
