MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The Mobile Police Department said it arrested a man wanted in connection with two shootings and an armed burglary early Wednesday morning. The MPD said Darrius Rowser was “involved” in the December 27 shooting of his I-65 Walmart, the November 26 paparazzi shooting of his club, and the December 16 armed home invasion.
Rowser, 19, was arrested and booked at Metro Jail around 1:00 am on Wednesday, January 4, and charged with:
- attempted murder
- 5 count assault
- first degree robbery
- Firing an unmanned vehicle
- firing into occupied dwellings
- reckless danger
The MPD arrested two men on December 30. Two people were injured in connection with the I-65 Walmart shooting, but were actively searching for Rowser. Officers said two groups of people were involved in the shooting. It is said
Through the investigation, Lowther was also identified as one of the suspects in the Dukes Avenue burglary. Police said three men unknown to the residents entered the home with guns. Police said one resident was assaulted. Officials said the man stole items from his home.
Police have not identified two other suspects involved.
“In addition, he will be charged with a shooting that occurred at a paparazzi club,” reads the MPD release.
Four people were shot dead inside a paparazzi club in the early hours of November 26. Police arrested 28-year-old John McCarroll on November 30.
During the arrest, MPD Lt. Stanley Radnier said the three shots were unharmed and the fourth remained in “critical condition.”
WKRG spoke with one person who was inside the club during filming. Eric Reddick says:
“We heard the gunshots and then put two, two together in our heads as people ran and screamed and we were like, ‘Oh my God.’ Something is happening there. ”
