WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — A Galveston man who had about 20 warrants from other Texas counties related to the theft of electronics from Walmart pleaded guilty to charges in Wichita Falls.
Robert Lee Williams pleaded guilty to theft of over $2,500 in 30th District Court today, January 6, 2023. His agreement was for his two-year term in state prison.
When arrested here in 2020, officials said he had more than two dozen arrest warrants for theft in multiple counties around Texas.
He was in prison for the San Angelo theft when Wichita Falls detectives visited there to interview him.
Detectives said Williams admitted to stealing “all Apple AirPods” from Walmart in Wichita Falls.
According to a Walmart report on Greenbriar on July 27, 2020, two suspects entered the store, forcibly opened a display case, removed all Apple AirPods from the case, and dispensed a gray Dodge Charger without paying. left behind.
A Walmart global investigator told police Williams was linked to numerous Walmart thefts across Texas.
