Hickory Police have identified a body found Saturday at a Walmart Supercenter as that of Justin Scott Partridge, 38, from Newland.
Police said they responded to a store off Route 70 shortly before 5:30 p.m. Saturday. They found a partridge in his car in the parking lot, according to a statement issued by the department on Monday.
The partridge is believed to have died from an overdose, the statement said. A cause of death investigation is ongoing.
