FARMINGDALE, NY — The refurbished Walmart Supercenter celebrated its “re-grand opening” at 965 Broad Hollow Road in Farmingdale on Friday.
Walmart said the remodel includes transformations in several departments designed to save customers time and provide a better shopping experience.
Store improvements include:
- We’ve reconfigured our store layout to provide more convenient access to high-shopper areas such as baby food, pets, and paper goods.
- Improved checkout with new checkout lanes operated by associates.
- Access to top brands in the latest entertainment technology.
- New paint and signage for easier navigation within the store.
Farmingdale Walmart store manager Christian Thompson said: “These renovations underscore our commitment and dedication to providing customers with a great shopping experience when and how they want to shop.”
Walmart will recognize local charities, including a $2,500 donation to the North Shore Animal League of America and a $5,000 donation to the Suffolk County Police Athletic Federation. The store recently hosted a pet adoption event with the North Shore Animal League and its mobile he unit.
Walmart offers pickup, pharmacy pickup, delivery, express delivery and Walmart Pay options.
