January 12 — Suspect arrested after shooting at Amazon Center in West Chester Twp. He faces multiple charges in this case.
Westchester Twp. Police responded to Amazon on Cincinnati Dayton Road just after 7 p.m. According to police records, 23-year-old Shedrick Lavon Washington Jr. has been charged with criminal damage/endangerment and attempted assault.
No one was hurt, but Washington said he fled when police arrived. He was later captured in Clermont County.
According to West Chester Twp, the incident was believed to be targeted and not random. Spokesperson Barb Wilson.
The woman who called 911 told dispatchers that she heard about three shots “fired in the parking lot” of the facility and fired at a vehicle. She said there was an altercation between two of her Amazon delivery drivers.
“One of them followed the other into the parking lot and opened fire on the delivery van,” she said in a 911 call.
The caller reported the shooter as Shedrick Washington.
She said it was unclear what the car Washington allegedly left behind and that she never witnessed the shooting. she told the dispatcher.
This incident is still under investigation.
