A man from Summerfield has landed in prison after being kicked out of a Leesburg Walmart after harassing other customers.
Frank Joseph Bush, 35, was arrested Tuesday evening at a Walmart store on Citrus Boulevard in Leesburg. Leesburg police officers are dispatched to the store after receiving a call from a suspicious person. A Walmart manager told Dispatch that a white man in a black shirt and jeans was in the self-checkout area and was harassing customers. I was.
Bush told officers he hoped to be transferred to a Lifestream mental health/drug treatment facility. Store management informed officers that Bush wanted to trespass the store. The officer accompanies Bush out of the store to a police car, where he notices a trespass and tells Bush to leave the Walmart premises.
As Bush was leaving, he turned and quickly returned to Walmart. After being notified, Bush was charged with trespassing by the Leesburg Police Department and taken to Lake County Jail.
Bush began his guilty plea in his first court appearance on Thursday and was sentenced to 45 days in Lake County Jail, where he was allowed to serve two days. Bush has an extensive criminal record that includes two felony convictions and multiple misdemeanor arrests.
