After months of going viral on social media, Pink Sauce is now available at Walmart.
The gooey pink condiment, strikingly resembling Pepto Bismol, debuted last June when Miami-based private chef and influencer Chef Pea cooked Popeye’s chicken and Taco Bell’s hard shell. “We are following FDA standards,” Pii assured customers.
Now you can buy shelf-stable, FDA-approved sauces at Dave’s Gourmet. The brand has also tweaked the sauce’s original ingredient list. It now contains dragon fruit puree, canola oil, coconut cream, water, sugar, distilled white vinegar, garlic, ranch flavor and other preservatives.
According to a January 11 press release, “Dave’s Gourmet will produce Pink Sauce™ on a commercial scale under required food safety manufacturing guidelines and distribute it through retail, foodservice and e-commerce channels in the United States and other countries. We sell products, and Chef Pii continues to promote social media and other aspects of Pink Sauce.”
