Topeka, Kansas (WIBW) – Walmart hopes to make a positive impact on the health of people in Kansas with its first Wellness Day in 2023.
With the start of the new year, Walmart said it invited customers to start on a healthier path with the first Wellness Day of 2023, Saturday, January 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Glucose, Cholesterol, BMI, Blood Pressure, and Affordable Immunizations against Flu, COVID-19, Mumps, Measles, and more.
Walmart believes Wellness Day not only helps families know and understand their numbers, but also empowers families by providing them with the tools and resources to seek care and improve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. said they encourage them to prioritize their health.
The megachain of superstores has shown that knowing health numbers is just the beginning, but additional information will help residents make decisions and track progress. Wellness Day is a great opportunity for customers to learn about health and wellness solutions and take advantage of free screenings and affordable vaccinations.
Walmart said some stores will also feature eye exams, in-store giveaways and wellness product demos to make it easier for customers to access specialty services. The Wellness Day event will feature the following resources managed by qualified professionals:
- Complimentary health checks including glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, body mass index, vision tests
- Affordable vaccinations including influenza, measles, mumps, pneumonia, tetanus, HPV, rubella, chickenpox, whooping cough, hepatitis A and B, and more
- No cost for COVID-19 vaccine for patients
- Wellness Resources and Opportunities to Talk to Pharmacists
