Walmart customers were shocked to see empty shelves in several aisles. This is a rare sight for a large retailer.
Consumers noticed that the retail giant’s shelves were mostly empty and freezers were marked with “out of order” signs.

Walmart is known for affordable merchandise and consistent inventory, but one store in Washington, D.C. had empty shelves for days.
The deli was empty and closed and the produce shelves were mostly cleared.

The store said it had low inventory due to a broken freezer over the course of several weeks.
Food shortages are nothing new, but have been a problem here since the summer.
This caused many unhappy customers.
On January 10th, Walmart resumed restocking shelves, but inventory is still low.
The customer is upset that the issue hasn’t been resolved in weeks.

There are other options, but prices skyrocket, especially at Whole Foods.
With egg prices skyrocketing due to the bird flu, customers can expect higher costs and lower inventories.
With few options, customers who relied on Northwest Walmart now have nowhere to get their groceries.
