Walmart announced a new program last week. walmart businessserving the needs of small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and non-profit organizations.
The retail giant has launched a new website that offers the products business customers need at the daily low prices Walmart is known for.
Ashley Hubka, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Walmart Business blog “Our focus is on taking the complexity out of purchasing, reducing costs, and giving our customers the opportunity to serve our customers and communities. 90% to within 10 miles, built to take advantage of the best e-commerce, fulfillment and delivery technology.”
Walmart spent months working with small businesses and nonprofits to develop the program. Business customers have access to over 100,000 curated items on a site built for easy navigation with categories such as office supplies and furniture, food and beverages, restrooms, electronics, classrooms and facility needs. .
Business customers can add up to 5 users to their account, who can share payment information, order history, and leverage the buying power of the group. Eligible customers can register as tax exempt and have the tax removed during the checkout process.
Retailers also offer upgrades to the program in the following formats: walmart business+Business customers get free standard shipping on orders with no minimum purchase for $98 plus tax per year. You can also choose free pickup or delivery from local stores with a minimum purchase of $35. A business customer receives a 2% discount on orders over $250 and his 5% discount on items eligible for regular shipping.
