Walmart will complete more than 6,000 drone deliveries in 2022, according to a company announcement Thursday.
Performance follows the company’s rapid expansion of the availability of transportation methods. Walmart now has his 36 stores in the US with drone delivery hubs operated by DroneUp, Flytrex and Zipline. Stores are located in his seven states: Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, Utah and Virginia.

Walmart and its partners currently offer up to 20,000 items for drone delivery, according to the company’s fact sheet. Some of our customers’ favorite products delivered by drone include great-value cookies and cream ice cream, rotisserie chicken, and Bounty His Paper His Towels.
Despite weight and range restrictions, drone deliveries provide the speed needed to effectively deliver temperature-sensitive goods like ice cream, according to Walmart.
