Mount Pocono, Monroe County (WBRE/WYOU) — Police have arrested a woman who stole more than $1,000 from a Monroe County Walmart and nearly assaulted an employee in the process.
Officers were summoned to a Walmart in the Pocono Mountains about 3:13 p.m.
Officers were told the suspect loaded the Times into a shopping cart and attempted to leave the store. said he ran away from the store.
Police put the total stolen from Walmart at $1,246.18.
Investigators said they found a woman matching the Walmart theft suspect’s description during a separate incident. It was identified as Misty Robinson, 43, of Goldsboro.
Robinson was taken into custody and placed in the Monroe County Correctional Facility. She has been charged with theft, simple assault, and harassment.
